What is Enterprise 2.0?

I’ve been spending most of the day looking into various definitions of Enterprise 2.0, the term coined by Andrew McAfee, a principal research scientist at the Center for Digital Business in the MIT Sloan School of Management and a fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society. Professor McAfee coined the term in a 2006 article in Sloan Management Review entitled ‘Enterprise 2.0: The Dawn of Emergent Collaboration’ to describe the use of Web 2.0 tools and approaches by businesses.

I will post a summary of my findings on the site as soon as I’m done.

In the meantime, check out the YouTube video below entitled ‘Andrew McAfee – What is Web/Enterprise 2.0’ for a brief description of the term from the man himself.
